LOCAL OFFER FOR PUPILS WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES (SEND)
Provision for children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability)
At Birstwith Church of England Primary School we aim to give all children equal access to teaching and learning. We aim to plan for continuity and progression at our school through to a child’s transfer to secondary education. We recognise the entitlement of all pupils to a broad and balanced curriculum. Our SEND policy reinforces the need for teaching that is fully inclusive. The Governing Body will ensure that appropriate provision will be made for all pupils with SEND.

The local offer provides information on what services children, young people and their families can expect from a range of local agencies, including health and social care. Knowing what is out there gives you more choice and therefore more control over what support is right for your child.
